Report’ The second meeting and the midges won 2-0.

In the senior trail it looked all over bar the shouting as Try Time came into the last field with a 50 yard lead but the combination of his kennelmate “finishing” and him “wowing”, he just held on and as Evie walked back to the car she called to  Jack “beat yer” and I must mention the reaction of somebody, who shall remain nameless , the second catcher , on being told the hound was Try Again , walked away.

The pups and if you weren’t there and saw the result same as Tuesday but the difference tonight was the distance between them.

When they came into view at halfway two had established a good lead and the remainder were well spread out and that was the story of the trail . the two became one and Miterdale Shadow stretched his lead to 200 yards for win number 10.

The next trail was spent gallivanting around the Rusland valley but it was quite clear from the last road that it was a two dog race, victory for Carrick and Jeanette, travelling all the way from where she lives.

And the veterans provided the finish of the night when the first three battled for supremacy in the long grass and it was the smallest of the three Kerrymore that got the better of Free Spirit and Artisan.
