Report. Bracelet is ,in golfing terms, lying dormy, three up with three to play. At Millstone this afternoon she had to pull out all the stops to get the better of Tuesday’s maiden winner – Cracking gold- who led onto the finish but in the end got beat by a length with Arnie finishing strongly in third and six others in close contention.
In the pups General James and Silver Dusk were vying for the lead but out of sight ‘Dusk’ lost ground and the ‘General’ was left to win easily, liz was second and the silver kennelmates were third and fourth.
In the final event three hounds had a nice lead at halfway and they finished that way – Cracking On winning comfortably from Artisan and Starlight.
Thanks go to Norma and Caroline for stepping in at the final moment with refreshments as Ronnie parted company with the ‘snack van’ at Buttermere.
I commented on Saturday as to what happened to the tea van and apparently the tea van was okay the car was okay but the bit joining the two together wasn’t. Mars bars but no tow bar!
The anonymous person ( last Tuesday’s report) who said “look out Bracelet ” was damn near right.
