Back to the races and in the seniors, Rover came to challenge wild Gypsy in the final few yards but failed to go through with his challenge, it was alleged that Wild gypsy had growled and leant on Rover the outcome led to the disqualification of the hound from first place.

in the pups it was a two dog affair , Reebok came to the final , downhill stretch with a ten yard  lead only to see it whittled away and was overtaken in the last few strides by limber , who then eased giving Reebok another chance, but she failed by a head.

Onceover -it was a regular sight seeing Victor Brownlee catching winners, 12 championships  and in the twilight of his hound trailing career he can still bend his back to put the bait tin down , aiding his daughter Christine and finishing  like a whirlwind was Monsoon, a non-goer as a pup but with patience has taken an interest and perhaps better times ahead –  second was Zulu  owned by another “oldtimer”
