Report. It could have been a fourtimer, as in finishing second , Huntsman’s Novice was thwarted by the “water jump” and Super Sun’s finishing flurry. The Windermere hound  came from fourth position, and taking advantage of the first three hesitating at the water, won and putting his trainer Peter Green in the winners enclosure for the first time since he bought a round.

The evening meeting got underway with a facile win for Jenny’s Aura, Galemire Grace was second and Buble third.

The juniors and a terrific finish as Cuckoo Lane coming from 10 metres back in second,  just failed in nailing Nimbus on the line, win number 13 for the table leader.

It was reported that Jenny’s Delight is on the easy list after a knock at Coniston and not having a going night at newlands was a bit harsh.
