Report. a new venue ,plenty of support but there is one thing you can’t forecast, the weather. . particularly on High Ground and consequently as the visibility deteriorated, the seniors found it difficult and a number of hounds returned to the start.. This didn’t deter from the rest, who were led in by Miterdale Steele ,  or Geoffrey who won by the proverbial mile from Tommy’s    only five hounds finished.

The puppy trail and now viewing was at a premium and Overwater Seth continued his march up the puppy table with his ninth   victory , all the more remarkable as he was involved in a 28 minute trail at Shap the previous day.

only five hounds were judged in the maidens as a pup from the previous race finished second and foxed the catchers.  And in the last Galemire Grace lost her senior maiden tag .

Ps . We received a prize of a bag of dog treats, I thought we had won the raffle , No this was a prize for finishing last. a nice innovation and a nice thought but what about the pup that finished second in the maidens ?
