Received a complaint from ‘Jenny’ not Bland but’ Rascal’. How can you describe a former champ as ‘well rounded’. Well the answer is if your carrying a laal bit overweight then that is the politest thing to say ,unless -a rather colourful description used at Kirkstone last week to describe a similar condition but that might offend the hound!
Who should turn up at Grasmere non other than ‘twinkletoes’ Ned Bainbridge , famous for calling to one of Wils Troughtons hounds as it romped to victory only to see it respond to the call and veer towards him ( something like that) Nice to see you Ned (keep coming)

Caught up with Richard Allen, retired farmer, at Goosewell on Monday, told the tale of trying to get a cemetary on the finish , had the local planners on his side but somebody put the ‘oar’ in, I can’t imagine why ,looking over the view of Threlkeld. Helvellyn, St John’s, and in the middle – A Graveyard.
Marton on Sunday , West coast travellers turn left in Askam – Ireleth Brow and eastern travellers , Ulverston to Lindal turn right up Pit lane. Or do what I did google map and then follow the trail signs. (Simples).
Congratulations to Graham and Lisa Whitfield on the birth of their daughter Hollie Ann, well done, – now back to priorities – Tan its time he was Yan.
