No bookies even Jimmy Batty was smiling, and more so when Overwater Jack overturned the two hotpots in the seniors.  David Crowe had a winning smile, the third Overwater in a week but this is Eskdale water not Uldale . Jack won by 200 yards and huntsman’s Major ,once more , was reluctant to race and finished with the maidens.

Not to be outdone the Glenridding kennel were soon back on the winning trail when Nimrod,unaffected by her stroll  around Burneside, romped home to an easy win. And unaffected by being a shade rotund, Cherish won the maiden trail easily from Jazz singer and another Huntsman’s “Jenny”. And in the fastest time of the night Marlou won the All -In
