28th July 2023 – Message from Secretary
- Just a reminder that i have reduced price tickets for Grasmere Sports £8 adults £3 children, i will be at the trails on the 5th August, 7th August and the 12th August as well as the 20th August. I only have a limited number so it will be first come first served.
- Can those who have not already returned trophies for the Premier Trails please do so as soon as possible please. Hounds – Kirkhead Rebel, Maiden – Kinniside Dan, Pups – Huntsman’s Rebel, Puppy Maiden – Eden Redarna Open Restricted – Huntsman’s Nimrod, Veteran – General James.
- If anyone has any really old Photos or memorabilia related to hound trailing the Junior Club are looking to get involved with a project at the Beacon Unit at Whitehaven that will show case traditional Cumbrian Sports. The photos will be well looked after and returned so if anyone has anything can you either give it to Joanna or myself.
- Finally just a reminder that if anyone has a dog out at the end of the trail, according to the rule book they must inform the secretary, it is the owners responsibility not the promoter although many of the promoters do notify me. I appreciate that it is the last thing on your mind when you have a hound missing but a quick phone call or text would be sufficient. Just a gentle reminder.
