Report. Hound trailing is struggling , it’s dying on it’s feet, so say the pessimists. the optimists hope for better days and as only 127 hounds turned out at Plumpton on the first day of organised practice trails, How many ?  ” Only 127 ” perhaps they are right.

The juniors came onto the finish in a bunch , anyone of ten in with a chance, James McClellan’s  Miss Ada finished  strongly to beat Aaron  Horn’s”  Integrity “. In the group were Westlife, Thorn rose, Wait and See representing the “gingers”.

The first senior trail was won in fine style by Huntsman’s Nimrod finishing clear from Best Mate,Jennie’s oracle and “Cuckoo” and a minute slower in next were Hunter’s Dale , a head in front of Copperfield and Eden Raya.
